Switch to AlgoWay Without Rewriting Your TradingView Alerts
You built the strategy. You configured the alerts. Why should changing an automation service mean rebuilding everything? AlgoWay accepts its own webhook schema and can interpret many existing third-party alert messages through built-in compatibility rules and AI-assisted normalization.
PineConnector · TradingView.to · TradersPost · PickMyTrade · AI for other JSON formats
No Pine Script rewrite for supported message formats. You still need to configure your destination in AlgoWay, change the TradingView webhook URL and test execution before using a live account.
Changing a webhook provider should not mean starting over
A TradingView strategy is more than a JSON message. It may contain months of work: indicator conditions, entries, exits, risk limits, position sizing and carefully chosen alert triggers. Rebuilding that logic for another service introduces work and another chance to make a trading mistake.
Your Pine Script stays yours
When the existing alert payload can be interpreted, there is no reason to edit the trading conditions or rebuild the Pine Script just to change where a webhook is sent.
Third-party formats are welcome
AlgoWay contains purpose-built mappings for several well-known alert conventions, plus general field aliases such as symbol, side and quantity.
Not limited to one template
When a message cannot be validated directly, the system can attempt to reconstruct its meaning into AlgoWay's standardized trading fields, then validate the result.
Which existing TradingView alert formats can AlgoWay read?
AlgoWay's validation and normalization layer includes both explicit format handling and more general field recognition. The examples below are simplified illustrations of existing input structures, not a claim that every proprietary feature has a one-to-one equivalent.
PineConnector
Recognizes license-based JSON and CSV-style commands. Handles supported buy, sell and close actions, symbol, quantity and selected stop, target and trailing fields.
TradingView.to
Recognizes text instructions such as buy/sell followed by symbol and Q, SL, TP or M parameters. Messages can be received as plain text or inside a JSON text field.
TradersPost
Maps supported action and quantity aliases, orderType, entry price keys and nested takeProfit/stopLoss objects, including absolute levels and percentages.
PickMyTrade
Recognizes supported action and sizing fields, common MKT/LMT/STP order-type abbreviations and percentage_tp / percentage_sl values.
StrategyFactory / trigger.trade
Includes a dedicated recognizer for this generated webhook structure, with supported conversions into AlgoWay's standard fields.
TradeAdapter & custom JSON
Even without a TradeAdapter-specific parser, clear JSON messages can enter the AI reconstruction path when direct validation fails. Successful conversion depends on unambiguous fields; unclear instructions may be ignored or rejected.
Recognizing JSON is not the same as guaranteeing equivalent trade behavior. Order quantity units, reverse and hedge modes, partial exits, broker symbol names, trailing behavior and stop-loss interpretation depend on the selected destination. Review those details during migration.
One idea, several alert syntaxes
These are representative short inputs for a buy signal. AlgoWay can interpret supported aliases into fields such as ticker, order_action and order_contracts. The trading destination is determined by your AlgoWay webhook configuration, not by trusting a platform name sent by the alert.
AlgoWay native JSON
The minimal direct format
{"ticker":"EURUSD","order_action":"buy","order_contracts":0.1}
Direct canonical fields
TradersPost-style JSON
Supported aliases without editing the Pine strategy
{"ticker":"EURUSD","action":"buy","quantity":0.1,"orderType":"market"}
action / quantity / orderType recognized
PineConnector-style CSV
Existing license-key command format
123456789,buy,EURUSD,qty=0.1,sl=30,tp=60CSV command normalization
TradingView.to-style text
Plain-text webhook command
buy EURUSD Q=0.1 SL=30 TP=60 M=StrategyAText command normalization
AlgoWay's AI normalizer can attempt to recover a clear trade instruction from nonstandard keys and structures, even without a provider-specific parser. This is a best-effort interpretation, not automatic certification of compatibility. Do not send live orders before confirming the normalized action, sizing and SL/TP in a test environment.
How to switch your existing TradingView alerts to AlgoWay
The actual changes happen in the execution connection and the alert destination. Your original strategy can stay intact when its alert message is compatible.
Create an AlgoWay connection
Choose your destination account and set its broker or exchange credentials and execution settings in the dashboard.
Copy the new webhook URL
Use the URL generated for your AlgoWay connection. The URL identifies the configured execution route.
Update your TradingView alert
Replace the old webhook URL. Keep the alert message if its syntax is supported; you do not need to rewrite the Pine Script for that case.
Test and inspect logs
Verify buy, sell, close, sizes and stop behavior using a demo or safe test route before enabling live execution.
Disable or remove the previous execution route when appropriate so a single TradingView alert cannot open the same trade in both systems. Old service tokens or license identifiers should not be treated as AlgoWay credentials; rotate or remove secrets if they are no longer needed.
Built-in format mappings first; AI when direct validation cannot understand the message
The webhook processor checks the received alert against its supported canonical fields and aliases. For recognized inputs, it maps alternate field names, order types, price levels and supported risk parameters into AlgoWay's normal execution structure. For example, quantity can become order_contracts, and supported nested stop-loss or take-profit values can be extracted into explicit fields.
If the message cannot be validated directly, the AI rebuilding step attempts to interpret the original alert. Its output is not sent blindly to the trading platform: AlgoWay runs the result through the same validation rules, checking items such as symbol, action, numeric size and required order prices. Known-format parsers provide another fallback path when needed.
This architecture matters because a strategy vendor may use side, another uses action, and yet another sends a simple command like buy EURUSD Q=0.1. The user should not have to reinvent the strategy merely because a different automation service uses different field names.
What may still require an adjustment?
Switching without rewriting the strategy does not mean every combination is automatically equivalent. A message can describe a valid buy order while still leaving important execution details ambiguous. Confirm contract size versus lots, price versus distance for SL/TP, partial-close logic, reverse or hedge behavior, and whether the destination accepts the selected order type.
If an alert carries too little information, uses unsupported order semantics or depends on provider-specific server state, a small message adjustment may be necessary. AlgoWay's normalizer is designed to interpret clear instructions, not guess missing trading intent or silently promise identical outcomes.

TradingView alert migration FAQ
Do I have to modify my Pine Script to change from another automation provider?
Not when the existing alert message is already interpretable by AlgoWay and your destination supports the intended action. Configure your connection, update the webhook URL and verify execution. Unsupported message semantics may still need a change.
Can AlgoWay accept PineConnector or TradingView.to messages?
Yes, supported license-based PineConnector JSON/CSV and TradingView.to text command forms have dedicated normalization code. Test the exact message you use, especially SL/TP and close behavior.
What about TradersPost or PickMyTrade alert JSON?
AlgoWay includes compatibility aliases for several common keys and nested stop or target structures used in these formats. This supports many ordinary instructions; it does not imply that every proprietary field or platform behavior is reproduced.
What if my JSON comes from another tool or a custom strategy?
Direct aliases may already recognize it. Otherwise the AI reconstruction path can attempt to convert unambiguous symbol, action, quantity and price information to AlgoWay fields. Invalid or unclear results can still be rejected.
Can I leave my TradingView webhook URL unchanged?
No. The TradingView alert must point to your new AlgoWay webhook URL for AlgoWay to receive the message. The benefit is preserving a supported alert body and its underlying Pine Script, rather than having to redesign the strategy.
Is migration safe for a live account?
Use a demo or appropriately limited test first. Verify the exact destination symbol, quantity, entry type, stops, closes and webhook logs before enabling full-size live trading. Sending a webhook successfully does not prove that the broker accepted or executed an order.
Your TradingView alerts already do their job. Let AlgoWay handle the execution.
Get your AlgoWay webhook, review the existing alert format, and test your route before switching live. MT5 automation starts at $7/month when billed monthly, with a 14-day free trial.
